DeleteThose are all DreamWorks Animation titles. Hulu "snatched" DreamWorks from Netflix last May according to this article, but it was supposed to be for future titles. There's nothing mentioned about them yanking existing titles from Netflix, without notice to boot.

DeleteKeep in mind that this has happened before, and the titles - at least some of them - returned after a few days. Not sure what causes this, and it is most aggravating, to be sure. I've been struggling to come up with the best way to handle these disappearing titles. I'm afraid I don't have time to monitor them and keep track of what leaves when, and either comes back or doesn't.
If anyone has any ideas about this, or other comments about the subject, please leave them on the Discussions & Ideas page. Thanks.

DeleteI've forgotten what exactly your comment there was referring to, and I agree it's best to get confirmation from Netflix before posting dates. I'm assuming that site isn't just speculating. They seem to be reliable as far as I can tell, doing a quick skim.
DeleteWhen they say "it's now been confirmed" that new Disney titles will expire exactly a year-and-a-half after being added, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they mean it's been confirmed by Netflix. When I have time I'll try to pin this down.
Deletei think it was about moana or something and the expiration ended up being a day off. i don't use the site you linked, but according to it, the owner, whose weaselly charms can be recalled here, is a UK-based, self-proclaimed expert on netflix expiration dates. i wouldn't take anything upcoming on that list as fact even if the dates end up being true or off by only a day or two. for more, we can continue on the discussion page.

Yes, that's exactly what happened. But in an odd way I couldn't get to repeat. I was wanting to watch the original series before the US remake before that expires next month. I had just finished Season 1 and started season 2 Episode 1. Right before or after (can't remember) the "TV MA: for mature audiences" advisory came on in the upper left hand corner, I thought I caught a quick flash of text... something about "this season is available til". But it was very fast. I tried to restart the episode, went back to the beginning, closed it out and reopened it. Nothing would make that come up again so I thought it was an error as NF has those glitches a lot. I even double checked under "overview" and "details" sections to see if it had something there about it. But nothing. Very disappointing that these streaming services can't give us straight info and in a timely manner prior to titles expiring. But thanks to people like you, we have a better grasp on it.

DeleteYes, as if it's not hidden enough, Netflix only shows that notice once a day. Should that happen to you again, the secret is to switch profiles, then you'll get to see the notice again. Otherwise, you have to wait, and watch an episode the next day to see the notice. They do appear and disappear very quickly - it's maddening.
Thanks, Netflix! I have seen Season 1 and was looking forward to watching Season 2.

Everyone: Both "seasons" are expiring at the same time. So why isn't it showing up on MY List or on the Details section of the show's info page? I noticed that the expiration notices on the episodes say "This season is available until" rather than "This show is available until." Perhaps new episodes will be added, so that the show itself isn't actually expiring? Netflix has so many tricky ways to keep us from getting the information we want.
These really aren’t “seasons” but collections around a particular theme. While these shows may be leaving, Netflix announced a while ago that “new” (meaning different) episodes will begin streaming on 2/28. There are also past episodes of Jeopardy streaming on Hulu. I have no idea whether these are the same episodes that are on Netflix and whether the episodes on Hulu are also expiring.

Hey, remember two years ago when, after just slowly dribbling out Turkish titles like Sarmasik and Baskin, Netflix suddenly unleashed a whole torrent of Turkish films in one day? Well, then you knew this day was comin'. At least they aren't all expiring in one day, but they're enough.
