12/4: All Scripps Networks shows are now listed on the main (Home) page of the blog.
"Scripps Networks Interactive said it will not be renewing its streaming video on demand agreement with Netflix when it expires at the end of the year." Read Full Article
Scripps owns the rights to content from various networks, several of which are currently represented on Netflix. Following are the shows I was able to find from these networks. There might be more - if anyone knows of any, please let me know.
Please note that there is not yet any notice on Netflix regarding the expiration of these shows. That should happen in the first couple of days of December. I'll be checking then to make sure this list is accurate, and to add any other titles. Until then, consider this list as probable, but not confirmed. With so many shows, I wanted to give everyone as much time as possible to watch. Special thanks to Wellesley72 for letting us know about this (on the Discussions & Ideas page).
All titles are linked to their Netflix info pages. All of the shows are 1 Season, unless otherwise indicated.

is Myth Hunters and Mystery Diners going to end?
ReplyDelete
DeleteI'm afraid I don't have very good news, Anonymous.
Myth Hunters just showed up as scheduled to expire, with a last day of November 30. It's not one of those that is part of the above list, so it will be going on the main page with tomorrow's update.
Mystery Diners is a Food Network show, so it will be going on the above list, with a last day of December 31. The upside here is that there are only 13 episodes, about 20 minutes each, so it should be very do-able to watch them all by December 31.
For what it's worth, I thank you for bringing these two shows to our attention. Mystery Diners did not come up on my search, so I appreciate you finding it.
is unsealed: alien files, ending?
ReplyDelete
DeleteGood news! Both Unsealed shows - Alien Files and Conspiracy Files - are owned by Bellum Entertainment, which is not part of the Scripps Networks, so they will not be affected by this contract expiring.
While I can't look any further than a month into the future, at this time there is no notice of expiration for either show.
ReplyDeletePlease put any comments about the Scripps shows on the main page, now. Thanks!
