Will "The West Wing" Fly or Roost? (posted 11/28/15)
We all know that any show can be saved from expiring by last-minute contract negotiations, but not all are. Exstreamist.com seems to believe that for The West Wing, renewal is a certainty, and they have told everyone there is nothing to worry about in an article posted on November 27.
I hope exstreamist is right, and that The West Wing will stay for at least another year, but nothing in their article comes anywhere close to convincing proof. They quote anonymous Netflix sources as saying things like, "will very likely reach a new contract." That doesn't sound like a guarantee to me. The article also refers to the recent press release of expiring titles for December, and notes that The West Wing was not on it. The Netflix list had 55 titles. Our list has more than 150 titles expiring in December, so clearly, the press release wasn't comprehensive, which blows up the theory that because it wasn't in the press release, it's not leaving.
Followers with an interest in The West Wing will have to decide how much faith they have in exstreamist. Skeptic that I am, I'll believe the show is here to stay when I see the "Available until" message come off the series info page. I'll be checking for that every day.

Notes on Some Confusing Issues: The Netflix press release of titles expiring in December, which includes those that have a last day to watch of Nov. 30, came out several days ago. Please note the following information.
The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes - 2 Seasons
Press release indicates
Season 1: "Available until" Dec. 1
Season 2: "Available until" Dec. 11
Netflix site indicates
Both seasons are combined under one title, which has an "Available until" date of Dec. 11.
As of 12/1, Season 1 has expired.
Season 2 expired on Dec. 11.
Ultimate Spider-Man -
Press release indicates
Season 2: "Available until" Dec. 10
No mention of Seasons 1 or 3
Netflix site indicates
All three seasons are combined under one title, which has NO "Available until" date.
According to New on Netflix
Season 3 (called Web Warriors) was just added on Nov. 23.
Seasons 1 & 2 were added at the same time, in Sept. 2014.

The latest news
As of 11/28, Season 1 has disappeared without any warning.
Season 2 expired on Dec. 10.
The Web Warriors season is still streaming.
I'm not sure what to make of this inconsistent information for both series, but wanted you to know what the possibilities are if you're making a decision about what and when to watch. I felt duty-bound to check with Netflix customer service, but unshockingly, they knew nothing.
Unconfirmed Expiration Dates
Una Noche has been confirmed as last day to watch 12/23.
Bronies (12/29) is not on the dvd side, so I cannot confirm it is expiring until the streaming side puts up the one-week notice. If anyone else has advance info from a device or app, please let us know. Otherwise, we'll just have to trust the Netflix press release info.
Dates are the last day to watch, so they will be one day earlier than the "Available Until" date given by Netflix.
Note: Bolded titles indicate high approval from both critics and audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.
