  1. Did I miss American Woman (2019) expiring? If not, then it suddenly expired without warning. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9109492

    1. Hi Michelle, I poked around quite a bit trying to see what happened - I couldn't find anything, not even that it had expired recently, or that it had been streaming. ???? Sounds like there was something off. I did find out that you can rent it on Fandango for $3.99. Sorry you lost one of your shows. :- (

    2. Thanks, Carol! I'm so grateful for you and this blog! Before I discovered your site, this happened to me so often that I was about to give up Netflix. However, since then it's been years since I discovered a title in my Netflix spreadsheet that was no longer on my Netflix queue.

    4. A little late to join in, but: My records show American Woman (2019) was added to Netflix on May 26, 2021. I never saw a notice that it was expiring. However, this link still takes you to a page where you can ask for a reminder if it's coming back to streaming:

    1. ALL TITLES IN COMMENTS ABOVE ARE MORE THAN 30 DAYS OUT, AND NOT GUARANTEED TO BE CORRECT. THEY WILL HAVE THEIR OWN PAGE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

    2. Thanks, Carol! FYI, it looks like all the expiring Sony shows listed above have been confirmed so far, including Living on 12/4/24. The milestone movies have been a bit more hit-and-miss --we've seen some expire ahead of the projected 12/31/24 date, which I suspect is because some of them are just coincidentally in the same milestone years.

    1. One thing I noted with these Sony Classics movies leaving Netflix throughout 2025 is that none of them can be watched if one just has the basic Netflix streaming package (ad supported). For some reason the licensing agreement between Sony and Netflix does not allow anyone with the basic package to view these movies which is a shame because there were a few I wanted to watch. I thought about upgrading my account for a month but nah.

      Delete
    2. Never liked the basic version. Blocks some of the best movies and shows on Netflix and forces you to endure ads just for a few dollars in savings.

  4. So I just got an email from NF about what's expiring on 3/31. Nothing that wasn't already on the list here. However, I noticed Captain Nova in the email. I like Sci-Fi so I clicked on it. It was already in my que!

What's weird is that when I scroll through "My List" to search for titles expiring soon, it doesn't have the red box that's located in the picture on the bottom center. So I guess NF is also having issues like Amazon. I suggest everyone double check the list here to see if anything else isn't properly marked in their que.

  5. I think we've had some discussion on this in the past. When the image for the show has words at the bottom, that interferes with the red box. For me "Captan Nova"'s title is at the bottom, so no red box. My understanding is that Netflix shows different images to different users, so this may not be the case for everyone. This has been the case for me for many, many shows -- yet another reason why this blog is so important!

    1. I’ve had this same experience. The red box is not a failsafe but can be helpful in identifying some expiring titles.

  6. The "Dexter" issue above is frustrating (not getting an official leaving Netflix notice until the day of expiration). I wonder if "Suits" which was reported as likely leaving as "The Wonder Years" on 6/30, but still doesn't have an official expiration notice, will stay on the service or be dumped with little or no official warning. It is especially frustrating when this happens with series with a large number of seasons, as they require a longer viewing commitment, so the more notice the better to have a chance at finishing them. You can't watch "Dexter" or "Suits" in a day!

    1. The ridiculous thing is that Netflix obviously KNOWS these shows are expiring but DOESN'T put a last day notice up.

    2. I am now binge-watching Suits just because Netflix has a terrible way of reminding us. 9 seasons in 1 month. Seriously Netflix?

  7. Here are a few series with a larger number of seasons that may be leaving in the next few months from Internet sources. These are unconfirmed by Netflix as of yet, but based on the last 6 months, are more likely than not to be leaving.

  8. Thank you for this list. I have it bookmarked and check it almost every day. Also, I would argue that Melanchoilia is more of a Lars von Trier movie than it is a Kirsten Dunst movie. But I also understand the average American filmgoer probably doesn't know who Lars von Trier is, which is a shame.

    1. I agree with you about who's movie it is, and I would bet most of our readers know who Lars von Trier is - we are movie lovers after all. Not sure they would all know off-hand he directed Melancholia (I didn't). I wanted an easy way to distinguish which of the two Melancholia movies was leaving for those clicking on titles in Netflix. Kirsten appears in the brief scenes that play, and her name appears before the director's. My choice was practical, not intellectual. : - )
