Many thanks to all readers over the years. You are a great group, and I have enjoyed working with you. I was especially moved by your recent unselfish concern for my wellbeing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kind thoughts.
Special thanks to those of you who have contributed expiring titles - you have been the work force behind this blog.
And much, much gratitude to Sarah for being willing to take over the reins with Netflix Expiring Titles.

Unstoppable - 1 season (2020)
One thing I noted with these Sony Classics movies leaving Netflix throughout 2025 is that none of them can be watched if one just has the basic Netflix streaming package (ad supported). For some reason the licensing agreement between Sony and Netflix does not allow anyone with the basic package to view these movies which is a shame because there were a few I wanted to watch. I thought about upgrading my account for a month but nah.
DeleteNever liked the basic version. Blocks some of the best movies and shows on Netflix and forces you to endure ads just for a few dollars in savings.
DeleteSo I just got an email from NF about what's expiring on 3/31. Nothing that wasn't already on the list here. However, I noticed Captain Nova in the email. I like Sci-Fi so I clicked on it. It was already in my que!
ReplyDeleteWhat's weird is that when I scroll through "My List" to search for titles expiring soon, it doesn't have the red box that's located in the picture on the bottom center. So I guess NF is also having issues like Amazon. I suggest everyone double check the list here to see if anything else isn't properly marked in their que.
I think we've had some discussion on this in the past. When the image for the show has words at the bottom, that interferes with the red box. For me "Captan Nova"'s title is at the bottom, so no red box. My understanding is that Netflix shows different images to different users, so this may not be the case for everyone. This has been the case for me for many, many shows -- yet another reason why this blog is so important!
ReplyDeleteI’ve had this same experience. The red box is not a failsafe but can be helpful in identifying some expiring titles.
DeleteThe "Dexter" issue above is frustrating (not getting an official leaving Netflix notice until the day of expiration). I wonder if "Suits" which was reported as likely leaving as "The Wonder Years" on 6/30, but still doesn't have an official expiration notice, will stay on the service or be dumped with little or no official warning. It is especially frustrating when this happens with series with a large number of seasons, as they require a longer viewing commitment, so the more notice the better to have a chance at finishing them. You can't watch "Dexter" or "Suits" in a day!
ReplyDeleteThe ridiculous thing is that Netflix obviously KNOWS these shows are expiring but DOESN'T put a last day notice up.
DeleteI am now binge-watching Suits just because Netflix has a terrible way of reminding us. 9 seasons in 1 month. Seriously Netflix?

Netflix Finally Adds Long Awaited Category for Movies and Series Leaving Soon
ReplyDeletehttps://www.whats-on-netflix.com/leaving-soon/netflix-finally-adds-long-awaited-category-for-movies-and-series-leaving-soon/
I see Netflix added a category called Last Chance to Watch
ReplyDeleteI bet this is related to Netflix recently adding a category for movies and series leaving soon:
Deletehttps://www.whats-on-netflix.com/leaving-soon/netflix-finally-adds-long-awaited-category-for-movies-and-series-leaving-soon/. You can access this entire category directly via https://www.netflix.com/browse/m/genre/82120713, although as per the article in the previous link, there are a few glitches, like The Emoji Movie isn't actually expiring soon...
Looks like “What’s On Netflix” was correct, Fate/Apocrypha is leaving tonight. Bummer.
ReplyDeleteWhen I posted the above at 11/6/2025 8:38pm, there was a Last Day to Watch notice for 11/6. When it hit midnight it was no longer available. As of right now only “Part 2” is available. So perhaps only Part 1 (Episodes 1 through 12) expired. Not sure where to watch Part 1 (unfortunately I didn’t get through all of it before it expired), so I’ll look out for that.

This 12/16/2025 article has a long list of "Netflix Original" titles leaving throughout 2026: https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/leaving-soon/over-100-netflix-originals-leaving-netflix-throughout-2026/
ReplyDeleteI also posted this above as a reply to my comments at the top of the comment section with earlier articles from Whats-on-Netflix.com. This page has historically been very accurate.
Dear Friends,
ReplyDeleteI’m so sorry the blog has been left lagging. I won’t burden (bore) you with all the reasons, but the underlying issue is that getting older has left me with a lot less energy, and I’m no longer able to work around unforeseen issues like unexpected company or illness. Please don’t worry about me – I’m not deathly ill or anything as serious as that. I just don’t have the stamina of younger years, and it doesn’t take much to put me out of commission.
If you want, I can leave the blog going. You’re the ones doing most of the work. Perhaps I could do something more manageable, like keeping the date/alpha list. You all are a great group, and I love working with you.
I’m hoping to feel better in a couple of days and will try to have some kind of update then.
Happy New Year and love to all!
Carol
I haven't commented in a while but still follow every day or so. I personally find it easier to follow along with the comments. I never use any of the links or Rotten Tomatoes scores. So, I'd be happy with a new post for each month and the date and alphabetical list. :)
DeleteI’m glad you don’t have any serious illness or the like. We appreciate everything you have done. If it’s best for you to limit or stop your blog activities, I totally understand. Do what’s best for you and your well-being. If you continue to keep the blog open just for comments or some other more limited effort, that’s fine too. I appreciate everyone’s contributions and definitely make use of it. So if this blog continues to exist in any form and/or evolves to be something different, I’ll still continue to visit it.
DeleteThe most beneficial thing is the comments and list. No need for links or anything else. Thanks so much Carol. This has been a great resource and hope it continues. Hope you get to few better and dont stress out over this site.
DeleteOh no. So sorry to hear that things have been a little rocky for you, and I hope everything is getting better! I also want to say how much I have appreciated your work on this blog--it is so helpful when trying to keep up with expiring titles. However, sometimes things need to come to an end and if that is true for you, I think we all understand. Was just wondering if you would be willing designate someone to take over and you remain to watch over the blog. Not me, but there seem to be a couple of candidates in the group. I like the links since they help me keep track of which movies on the list I've checked against my own "To watch" list when they turn colors, but could easily live with a dated list. Take care and best wishes for the New Year!
DeleteThanks for all the work you've done to keep this blog going. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteIs anyone willing to take over the blog? Carol has been awesome but is now unable to keep it up. I try to help and submit updates I find, but don't have the potential to do it all.
ReplyDeleteI would be willing to help if there is another volunteer or two to help out because there are times when I have free time and times when I get really busy and don't have any free time. I do add any expiring items to the comments. I look at this blog a couple times a week because without I would miss watching things. I have so many things in my watch list that they all aren't shown in my list on my smart TV.
DeleteI could help out some, if Carol wants the help.
DeleteI'm sorry I've been gone so long. Thank you to everyone who left a comment about the future of the blog. Special thanks to Anonymous for writing a comment with all January last day titles up to that point - including Rotten Tomato approval. Very helpful.
ReplyDeleteFor now, I plan to maintain the date/alpha list. I should be able to update at least twice a week. Having links to the title on NF seems to be helpful, so I'll see if I can keep that feature. I'm also thinking about how those of you who have offered to help might do so without it being too time-consuming or tedious. I'll get back to you on that.
Thanks to all of you for your patience, understanding, and good will. You are a wonderful group.
Truly appreciate all the hard work you've done over the years for this blog and how helpful it's been. I try and contribute as much as I can when I catch something others haven't. even include the links in my post as I'm hopeful that helps some and makes it easier on your legwork.
DeleteIf the time does come when you need to step back more, perhaps the team over at Expiring Titles on Amazon Prime can help out too.

ReplyDeleteThe Yin-Yang Master: Dream Of Eternity (2021)
Expiring according to https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/leaving-soon/whats-leaving-netflix-in-february-2026/. Although it's not yet confirmed as expiring by Netflix, in my experience this site is usually correct, so you may want to go ahead and watch just to be safe.

The Yin Yang Master (2021) (different adaptation than the Dream of Eternity movie)
Expiring according to https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/leaving-soon/over-100-netflix-originals-leaving-netflix-throughout-2026/. I added this one to differentiate it from the one above.
From the press release:

2/21

2/23
The Island (2005)
2/25
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - Seasons 3-4 (2019) - date and seasons differ from those above
2/26
Bones & All (2022)
Bottoms (2023)
For Brooklyn Nine-Nine, 2/25 is most likely the correct last day to watch. I often forget that whats-on-netflix lists expiration dates (one day later). Also, assuming the press release is correct that only seasons 3 and 4 are expiring, I wonder if Netflix will be getting Seasons 7 and 8 at that time. When seasons 1 and 2 expired, Netflix kept seasons 3 and 4 and got seasons 5 and 6.
DeleteFor Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Netflix now confirms 2/25 for only seasons 3 and 4 (seasons 5 and 6 do not show an expiration date when testing episode 1 of each of them)
DeleteTo address the above, per What's on Netflix, regarding Brooklyn Nine-Nine: "On February 26th, we’ll see seasons 7 and 8, the final two seasons, consisting of 23 episodes in all, which will replace both seasons 3 and 4, which will both leave on February 26th, with your last day to watch being February 25th."

It's showing up on NF's own Expiring List, linked below. However, when you click on it, it doesn't state any specific expiration date. I didn't notice it yesterday so I'm estimating the date above.
https://www.netflix.com/browse/m/genre/82120713?so=az
That has been happening a lot lately to me too. It will have a leaving soonon the icon but when I click on it , it doesn't have an expiration date. I also noticed movies and TV shows are not staying on Netflix as long as they used.
DeleteArrested Development is definitely a show where they have to renew the licence and I think it automatically goes to the new "expiring list" until they do. I wish they'd fix that.
DeleteThough different sources indicate that Arrested Development is leaving March 15 (last day to watch March 14), I don't see an expiration notice in Netflix.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I haven't been posting anything, but my mom passed away last week. I will try to find the time to find updates to post soon. I am a bit concerned that Carol hasn't seemed to be making any comments or updates, so hoping it's due to computer and not health issues.
So sorry to hear about your mom--deepest condolences. Hope your family and you are doing well. No apologies necessary--your contributions to the post are much appreciated. Also, hoping nothing adverse is going on with Carol.

ReplyDeleteI'm seriously concerned about Carol. She had been so dedicated to this blog, yet I haven't seen any post from her for over a month. I pray that she's OK. Is there anyone willing to take over. perhaps start a new similar blog to have full editing capabilities? I'm willing to help with updates, as I have been doing, but I don't have the bandwidth and the computer knowledge to do it myself. Carol, I hope you are doing well! I really have appreciated your blog, which has helped tremendously to keep up with the shows that are leaving.
ReplyDeleteSeconded. I used to have the time to query endlessly for every possible title on Netflix to find expiring movies, but now I rely entirely on this blog. I'd be lost without it.
DeleteI'm not sure if this is considered too weird but her number and address are easily available online. Has anyone thought of calling her or if anyone is local, maybe knocking on her door? I know I would not want internet strangers showing up at my house, but I would hope she knows many of us care and are concerned. I am up for starting up a new blog if we need to, but I know I definitely do not have the time to dedicate to it 100%.
DeleteOkay, I started by just shooting her an email, and hopefully she is okay and will let me know. If I don't hear back from her in a few days, or nobody else is able to make contact with her, maybe we can start working on a new blog.
DeleteOkay, just in case we don't hear back from Carol, I went ahead and set up a new blog and I have it ready (I think) for March titles. It's a little different from this one because I don't have the time to mess with adding all those extra pages for different discussions. It's pretty stripped down. Tell me what you think: https://expirednetflix.blogspot.com/
DeleteYes, hopefully Carol is doing well and just having computer issues. Thank you for setting up a new page in the meanwhile.
DeleteThanks, Sarah
DeleteNot a problem. As long as people are helping with updates in the comments, I am happy to compile into posts. I've had no response to my email.

Hello Everyone,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry I've been away so long. I had really hoped I would be able to maintain some level of list, but I'm afraid that won't be possible. While I'm not ill nor have any serious condition beyond old age, my energy level has dropped considerably - the blog is not the only thing that's gone begging. My mind is getting older too, and I'm not as sharp or as "on it" as I used to be. I do have a helper, so I'll be fine. Thank you all for your kind support.
Sarah, I checked out your new blog - it looks great! I like that you put the Rotten Tomato scores with each title. Everyone - I encourage you to migrate to Sarah's blog. Your comments will work as well there, and it will be kept under much better control. https://expirednetflix.blogspot.com/
I will leave this blog up as long as it has viewers, but it really does seem that the time has come for a new "Expiring Titles on Netflix" blog. Love to all.
Carol,
DeleteThank you for checking in! That alone means a lot.
You’ve done more than enough — please focus on yourself and your well-being. We’ll happily support Sarah’s blog and help Sarah carry the torch forward.
Sending you warmth and appreciation always!
P.S. - Sarah, please let us know if we all should move there. I went to the blog and saw the list as at the top here but no comments yet.
Take care of yourself, Carol! We appreciate everything you've done over the years to help this community. Thank you for taking over after David (I think it was) moved on from the original blog.
DeleteThank you for all you have done. Netflix may not know it, but they should be thanking you too! Best wishes.
DeleteYou can submit comments there, or here. I'll check comments on both sites.
DeleteSarah,
DeleteIs there a way to post anonymous on your expiring blog instead of signing in with google? I prefer to post titles that way and not have my name on the Internet blog. If that is possible.
Thank you for everything you’ve done, Carol. I greatly appreciate all your efforts and wish you well on your endeavors. I wish you health, happiness, and relaxation.
DeleteAnonymous, I will check the settings and see if I can figure it out. :)
DeleteHey! That was easy. Just had tweak one setting. Anonymous posting should be working now.
DeleteCarol, I can sympathize. My own movie blogging dropped off the cliff, for no other reason than other interests have absorbed more of my available time. I try to keep my hand in now and then but it's not the same.
DeleteAppreciate tremendously all you have done!
ReplyDeleteCarol, thanks for all the time and effort you have spent on this blog. 🥰🥰
