Netflix has an error where the American Woman link goes to the 2018 film of the same name (but different plot) than the 2019 film shown in the movie trailer. It's a weird mix up. I was looking forward to the 2019 one, so it's disappointing Netflix doesn't double check their own links.

DeleteI think they might be fixing this. Earlier, I looked at the info page for the 2019 Semi Chellas-directed film, then hit "play" and watched the opening credits, which showed it was actually the 2018 Jake Scott-directed film. Now, nothing comes up when I search for American Woman, so I think they might have taken it down to fix it - let's hope.
Did anyone else notice the "leaving Netflix soon" list on Netflix? I got it as a notification. I've never seen that before. Perhaps they are finally going to be a bit more transparent about titles that are leaving? No new titles for our list that I saw.

Thing is, there are only ~20 titles, mostly or only the same ones on the press release, so it's not much of a boon.
I receive those email messages for "Leaving Netflix soon", but without fail the link leads me to a Netflix "Sorry. Something Went Wrong" page and shows Error Code NSES-UHX. Same result using the URL Carol posted above.

DeleteHi Barbara D, sorry for the delayed response. I think the "leaving soon" list on Netflix is only up for a short time - starting sometime after the press release, and taken down sometime after all titles have Last Day notices, and I don't think they update it once it's up. It makes it look like Netflix is being more transparent, but I think it's just a new feature with the same info we've always had. I'm going to check every day to see when it next becomes available, out of curiosity.

DeleteOn June 29, the website What’s on Netflix published an article that referenced the series below as scheduled to expire. I don’t know where they got their info, but they described the possibility of renewal as “unlikely.”
One of the shows has already been renewed, and it looks like Girlfriends has, as well, because there is no notice anywhere on Netflix. I’m not going to put shows on our list unless they are on the press release or have a last day notice, but I’ll keep these in comments. These shows have a lot of episodes, so if you want to be sure not to miss them, better to be safe than sorry.
The dates, titles, and season/episode info is from What’s on Netflix. The status info is mine.

I'm not seeing a last day notice on the info page for the show, but when I play an episode the last day notice is there.
Hello. This is the same Anonymous who posted the original comment. I am no longer seeing a last day notice, not on the info page or the episodes. However, I can confirm that yesterday there was a notice. I am assuming the series was renewed, which makes sense. The show is really popular, so it makes sense that Netflix would renew the contract. Additionally, NewOnNetflixUSA says the show was added on 9/17/2021. A contract of exactly two years makes sense.
DeleteI think it's likely been renewed, but that's not certain. Considering the fact that there was no last day notice on the info page, there could be a bug, either then or now. I know you're likely not going to put it on the list when you do the update, but I would keep an eye on it in case the last day notice pops up again, either on the info page or the episodes. Considering just how popular the show is, I'm sure we'll see it on the press release (which will likely come within a week from now) if it really is expiring.
I guess this is a reminder that nothing stays on Netflix forever, not even the most popular Netflix Original shows and movies.
Now Squid Game says "It's official. Another season is coming.", and a title card is available to set a reminder for Squid Game: The Challenge. No other info.

DeleteRe: Chappelle's Show: I'm not seeing a last-day notice on the info page or on episodes from either season, so it looks like this show has been renewed. It is still on New on Netflix USA as expiring, but that has also happened with several other series in the past which did not expire, so I'm not going to put this one on the list.
Anyone else seeing the new red labels "Recently Added" and "Leaving Soon" on the show images? I just noticed them yesterday, and although they weren't yet comprehensive, they seem to be headed that direction. Dare we hope Netflix is finally doing something helpful?!?!?

DeleteYes, I am seeing the labels though, as you mentioned, not comprehensive.
1. I'm wondering if Netflix decided to do this instead of the "leaving Netflix soon" list? I've been checking for that every day, but it hasn't shown up.
Delete2. I looked at every title on our list, plus in comments (114 total). Labeled titles = 67; Not labeled = 47.
3. I couldn't see any consistency among either the labeled or not labeled titles. Not alphabetical, not by last days to watch, and not by popularity of titles. Which are labeled and which are not appears to be random.
4. I made a My List for the non-labeled titles. I'll check to see if more titles get labels - maybe they're just not finished with the process.
5. Some things I found interesting/amusing:
a) Rocky films 2 - 5 are labeled. The original Rocky is not. Expendables 1 & 2 are; 3 is not.
b) The two little Como series (last day 10/2) are labled; Titanic, The Departed, and Star Trek are not (as noted above, it really seems random).

DeleteWhat I have noticed is that if the movie/show's title appears on the bottom of the poster, the "Leaving Soon" does not appear. Otherwise, it is there. I think it might be a deliberate thing done by Netflix. It's also worth noting that the posters Netflix uses on TVs and phones are different from the ones used on computers, meaning that some titles have the "Leaving Soon" on some electronics while they don't have it on others. That also explains why it is seemingly random.
DeleteYou make two excellent observations, Anonymous. I'm embarrassed that I didn't notice the relationship between placement of title on poster and whether or not there was a red label. I went back and looked again - there was only one poster for which the red label ever-so-slightly obscured part of the title (see Doom). There are a handful of posters with plenty of room for the label, but none there yet (60 Days In, Hanna, Intervention, Jiu Jitsu, Till Death). There were a couple more that didn't have a label yesterday, but do now, so those few without might just not have one yet.
DeleteOf course, the big problem with both issues you mention is that there is a significant lack of consistency in alerting viewers about expiring titles. It would seem reasonable for people to assume that no label meant not leaving. Would it be so hard to have a page with "everything leaving in the next 30 days"? Apparently, that's our job (salary not included). Oy.
