Hey everyone. Dance of Reality (2013) seems to have left without warning. I went back and did a quick search of all the previous posts on here (dating back to October 2015) and found nothing about it leaving the service. It obviously could have left the service at any point from when it was first added, perhaps even prior to when this blog came into existence, but it would have been a relatively new American release in 2014/2015.
for what it's worth, i'm not aware that it was ever available. i've wanted to watch this for years and never noticed it streaming on netflix U.S. do you know from its URL if it was under netflix ID number 70285710? i checked the netflix dvd section less than a month ago and didn't see a play button for this title. let me know if you see it streaming anywhere.
I downloaded Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) to my iPad this morning, and the download is showing an expiration date of January 16. The film itself is not showing an expiration date. Has anyone run across this situation before where a download expires in less than 48 hours but the film does not expire. (Or maybe this is a “stealth” removal of the film from Netflix?)
I haven't downloaded any titles (not enough room to do so), but Netflix's page says that different titles have different expiration windows. https://help.netflix.com/en/node/54816
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was added to Netflix on January 16, 2015, so it could well be that tomorrow (1/15) is the last day to watch. If so, I cry "dirty pool, Netflix!" I'll put a note on the list advising of this possibility. Thanks Wellesley72.
you don't have to redownload it just reauthorize it. So anotherwards it goes out to internet and does a check to make sure you are allowed to still see it and then reactivates it again.
Not sure if someone already caught this (if so, feel free to delete this comment), but Matchstick Men seems to have disappeared without any notice. I remember seeing it on My List yesterday and now I can't find it. Given Sam Rockwell's current high profile (on the Golden Globes, SNL, etc.), you'd think Netflix would want to keep that one around, and possibly even feature it. But no--clueless as ever. *sigh*
Hi David - so nice to hear from you! Matchstick Men expired on Jan. 1. It went on our list approximately Dec. 21. I don't see it on instantwatcher as having come back, so a little confused how you saw it on your My List yesterday. Maybe it flickered on for a day by mistake? Netflix's quality control is not good, so nothing surprises me. Other than this, hope all is well for you.
Hi, Carol. Interesting. Both myself and my partner thought we saw it in passing yesterday, but it's possible we were mistaken. I dunno. Either way it's frustrating as we've been meaning to watch (or in my case, rewatch) it for months now. Lousy timing. Oh well--guess we'll have to get our fix of prime (not Prime!) Rockwell when Confessions of a Dangerous Mind returns to Hulu next month. Thanks for replying! Good to hear from you, too--and happy to see you're still fighting the good fight. :-)
I checked all seasons of Parenthood - no expiration notices. So, barring any dirty tricks from Netflix, it should stay streaming at least through 2/13.
according to this site burn notice amongst others will be on hulu sooner than later. https://www.hulu.com/press/hulu-and-20th-century-fox-television-distribution-strike-agreement-for-nearly-3000-episodes-of-hit-dramas-comedies-and-fan-favorite-series/
[re: Burn Notice] Well, maybe later than sooner. The Hulu press release came out a while back. Burn Notice is not yet streaming on Hulu, and it’s not on the list of titles coming in February.
When lost left Netflix last month i couldn't find any press release for Hulu anywhere saying lost was gonna be on Hulu but the day after it left Netflix it was on Hulu. At least it will be on Hulu sometime. Burn notice isn't streaming on Hulu yet because it hasn't left Netflix. Netflix owns it for another month.
Hi Brian, The articles I see on the internet are saying that the two episodes of this show run through Feb. 25, making that the last day. This makes sense to me since that is the day of the closing ceremony. How sure are you about 2/24 being the last day to watch? The expiration notice won't show up on the Netflix site for another week. Thanks.
Congratulations, V.M. - now you know why we all do this: the cake and the naps! Seriously, thank you for hanging in there, and continuing to check your list.
FUTURAMA NOW LEAVING A DAY SOONER I don't know what happened, but Futurama now shows an availability date of "until January 29," which means the last day to watch is January 28.
I checked the press release for January, and it lists Futurama as expiring on 1/30. Also, I could swear I checked all the seasons to be sure none of them expired earlier, and they all said "January 30." But now they say "January 29." I think Netflix is trying to gaslight me.
I just want to THANK YOU for this great blog. It enables me to see stuff I would never even know existed. I just saw ine of the best movies I've seen in a looooonnnggg time Robot, aka Enthiran (2010). Big thumbs up for all your hard work!
24 hours ago, Family Guy showed "Available until February 14" now it shows "Available until February 13" meaning the last watch is now February 12. The same thing happened with Futurama two weeks ago.
I have no idea what's going on at Netflix. As of this writing, the notice date is once again 2-14. I know Roxie's info is accurate, because Family Guy shows an expiration date of 2-13 on uNoGS.com, which is a day behind. Dear Netflix: You're killin' me.
P.S. I decided to check all seasons. Season 1 has a this "show" availability notice of 2/14. None of the others have a this "season" notice, so that indicates all seasons expire on the same day, currently 2/14 = last watch 2/13.
The new expiration notice for Little Lunch, which went from 1-31 to 2-7, is now gone, so it looks like it has been renewed for good - at least until yet another date shows up.
All titles above this comment have been added to the master list.
If you have additional titles for the list, please put them on the new post (click on Home, below). Thank you!

ReplyDeleteThe Dance of Reality is the correct title, sorry.

Hmmm. Maybe I just flat out goofed then and accidentally had it in my list as being on Netflix. Possible.

Did you start watching the movie yet? You have 48 hours to finish a downloaded movie after you first start it, otherwise you have to redownload it.

ReplyDeleteMaybe it was traded for Vengeance (2017), which just started streaming on Netflix.

DeleteAll six seasons of Parenthood (2010) will begin streaming on Hulu on 2/15 so the series is likely to leave Netflix a few days before that.
ReplyDeleteHulu just got every season of ER too.
DeleteI see Family Guy listed on 2/14/2018, another FOX show bites the dust...
ReplyDeleteInteresting. No expiration date is showing for Parenthood although I have not checked the individual seasons except for Season 1.
DeleteAll seasons of Family Guy are streaming on Hulu.
Hulu is getting better every day.

Tony, I hate to admit that too, but Hulu is getting better every day, more movies than ever before...
DeleteSo is Amazon Prime they just got Monk, Psych (NF lost), Battlestar and another weird space show with Keven Sorbo.

Also, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy is still streaming.
Well crap! I loved Burn Notice, will it be switching to a different site like Hulu?

The article that I got my information from. It says that it stops on February 25. But I could be missing something:

Of course, it's also possible that Netflix will clear this up for us when they reveal the official list (presumably) next week.
