There is a new post for the Current Expiring Titles (click on Home, above). Please submit all relevant comments to that post. This page is now the archive for May/June 2022 expired titles, and the name of this page has been changed to reflect that. This page will no longer be updated.
Re: Criminal Minds (last day to watch is June 29). It looks like all 12 seasons will be leaving after all. The press release showed Seasons 1-10, but now that the dates are on the website, it shows last day June 29 for all 12 seasons. I have corrected the entry on the list.
I don't have Paramount and I'm paying for six streaming services already. I'm binging as much as I can before it expires, and then I'll get the rest through Netflix DVD. ;)
Movie> The Beast Stalker (Ching yan) (2008) Series: Bo On The Go!-1 Season(2007) Pokémon The Series: Indigo League - 1 Season (2000) *There Is So Many Movies,Series That were Renewed. Posted What I Could Remember. :)
I have been binge watching The Originals and just noticed that I am no longer seeing a "Last Day to Watch June 30" notification. I checked via online app, Fire TV Netflix app, and iPhone Netflix app. Could someone check behind me and verify? It would be great to have some more time to finish watching because I'm getting a little burned out after three season and tired of endless, murderous vampires! Thanks in advance.
I don't see any last watch notifications on my laptop or iphone. I tried playing S01E01 and S05E01 and didn't see any expiration notices for those specific seasons either.
Thanks for checking, Michelle. Well, I can't find an "official" notice that seasons 1-4 of The Originals have been renewed, but the "Last Day to Watch" notice does not show up any longer.
Sad to say, Seasons 1-4 of The Originals are still last day June 30. Season 5 is still not expiring. What I did: I used a different profile to check each season, and I had not looked at the show at all today before I checked. Even if you have watched the show today on one profile, switching to another profile (on which you have not watched the show) will allow you to see the last-day notice when you play an episode - but only once. If you want to check other seasons, you have to select a fresh profile for each one.
Carol, I have three profiles and have only been watching The Originals only on one of those profiles and it is assigned to My List on the same profile—not any of the others. Using your technique, I checked with my other two profiles, but still don’t see a “Last Day to Watch” notice. I believe you when you say you did see the notice using your technique so I’m chalking this one up to deplorable Netflix programming. Just so everyone can ROFL, I called Netflix tech support, got an individual for whom English clearly was not her first language, explained and re-explained the problem till I got fed up with her lack of comprehension and quit. The incompetence is mind boggling. At one point, she said she didn’t understand because I talked too fast. Unbelievable, I’m a Deep South Southerner and we…don’t…talk…fast!!!! Nor do I have a thick, Southern dialect. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
LynnK - not sure why you weren't able to see the notice. I do know different apps yield different results. Or, maybe after you watch as many episodes as you have, it stops appearing. Of all the things Netflix does that bug me, this is the one I hate the most. Deplorable is the right word.
As for Netflix customer service, it's strictly for those with questions like, How do I change profiles? or How do I add a show to My List? They don't train them on anything more in-depth. Sorry you had to experience the frustration. I've been there multiple times, and just want to scream. I did smile about the fact that she couldn't understand you. Sometimes I think they just pull people in off the street, and tell them to answer the phone.
Sad to say that it seems as though Netflix no longer cares whether or not we know when stuff we want to watch will expire. What little info they do reveal is so well obscured that if you don't HAPPEN to catch it... oh well! Sad. They've gotten away from pretty much everything that brought me to them in the first place. On the flipside, I hear they keep losing subscribers in droves. Maybe if that trend continues they'll start listening again?? /:|
I Hope everything is OK there. I've been waiting for JULY for weeks, but would send a DRIVER WITH DINNER to you if someone said CLICK HERE. ASK for help if you need it. This isn't your job. This is a Hobby. There are thousands of us. A few are programmers who could automate most of the tasks away to 90% less effort. THANK YOU FOR YEARS OF SERVICE
Everything is OK here. Just struggling to keep up with all obligations. Unfortunately, when there is too much "real-life" stuff going on, the blog suffers. I do have some automation, thanks to the most excellent and appreciated Larry G, who has been our tech support since the beginning. Thanks for your support, Anonymous.
Unfortunately Netflix has made it increasingly difficult to automate this kind of task over the years, starting 'way back when they disabled the back-end database calls that made it possible for Instantwatcher to retrieve expiration dates, and continuning with their ongoing efforts to make querying for titles more unwieldy.
I actually automated the ability to email myself my expiring Netflix titles, as explained here: https://www.singularagent.com/home/blog/20210801-last-day-to-watch-on-netflix
For what it's worth, I'm not seeing Friday Night Lights as expiring on July 31. No expiration date on the page itself and no notification when I watched the beginning of the pilot.
Thanks Brian. I looked at all five seasons; no notice anywhere. It still shows up on New on Netflix USA, but maybe it just got renewed, and they haven't done a new sweep yet.
Re: Friday Night Lights I'm not sure whether or not this show is expiring (last day would be 7/31). We have conflicting information, and shows have expired without notice on Netflix before. Normally, I'd say watch it just in case, but almost 80 episodes is a lot. It's also available on Peacock - for free with ads, with subscription without ads. Do what you think is right for you.
I noticed that my smart tv app is not showing the expiration dates on the info page anymore but it does still show them if you start playing the movie or tv show. My phone app is still showing the expiration dates on the info page.
What I hope Netflix will remove soon: Cocomelon Any supernatural horror film Johnny test Pokemon Yu-Gi-Oh Paheli Comedies with fake laughing (those shows with laughing every 10 seconds, I think they're called sitcoms but I'm not sure) Squid Game
Um…why do you wish for anything to be removed? You know you don’t have to watch things unless you want to, right? If something you don’t like is on there, all you have to do is just not watch it.
There are actually other titles I don't like I only added the ones my family members watch. If someone else in the house watches it, I hear the audio even if I am not there. And for Paheli, nobody in my family watches it, I added it in because that movie traumatized me.
I do sometimes write expiring titles on here. I just once in a while had a mood to write titles I want gone. It's not like I am forcing anyone to agree with me that these titles are bad. But you do have a point that I just shouldn't watch them. I would delete my comment but I can't because I am commenting as Anonymous. And I have multiple hobbies.

Darn Netflix! They makes things so complicated. Good thing you're on top of it for us, Carol! :-)

ReplyDeleteWeirdest spam I've ever seen.

Deletewill g, I don't think this is spam, just some sincere concern. That's how I took it, anyway. Let's leave it at that.
DeleteOMG it didn't make any sense to me when I first read it, but it does now.
DeleteI really didn't know what it was referring to. Hadn't had my first cup of coffee yet. Sorry Anonymous.
