Neither the documentary nor the Paul Verhoeven drama - both titled "Tricked" - are currently showing an expiration notice on my 2-week app, and neither was on the press release for titles expiring in June. The documentary was just renewed in March, however, the Verhoeven film was added to Netflix on July 26, 2016, so it could be leaving on that same day next month. I'll keep an eye on it.
Hi, Bianca Z - this blog is not part of Netflix, so we don't have any influence over what programs stay or leave. We just report information about what's leaving that we find from other sources. Netflix contact information is at: https://help.netflix.com/en/contactus
Btw, I hope Sherlock stays a long time, too. It's a good show.
This is the press release which has everything that is expiring in June and July. https://news.avclub.com/heres-whats- coming-to-and-leaving-from-netflix-in-jul-1826993160
All titles above have been added to the master list. Titles in comments below will be added with the next full update.
Thanks to seth and will g for the press release info. will g, once again, thank you SO MUCH for adding the years to the titles. If there was any money in this, I'd send you a check. :-)
I accept bitcoin. It's really no bother to include the years, even though Netflix can't be bothered to, which sometimes leads to confusion with duplicate titles.
Motu Patlu: King of Kings does NOT show as expiring. It was added to Netflix on July 5, 2017 (per uNoGS.com: http://unogs.com/video/?v=80177339). Usually, shows expire on an anniversary date. If the contract was for only one year, there would now be an expiration notice on it, but there isn't one. Sometimes, contracts expire on a date other than the anniversary, but since we aren't privy to the details of Netflix's contracts, we have no way of knowing when this is the case.
If you have reason to believe Motu Patlu is expiring soon, even though there is no notice on its info page, please share that reason with us, so we'll understand your concern.
This is labeled as a Netflix Original, but it looks to be another one of those that was acquired after production. That seems to be a common thread when these shows expire.
It really annoys me when Netflix doesn’t include their own “originals” when they produce their abbreviated list of titles leaving in the next month. Fortunately, the only other licensed drama of that vintage that is shown as a Netflix original is Borgia (2012-2014; 3 Seasons), not to be confused with The Borgias, which is a series from Showtime also streaming on Netflix.
Wellesley is referring to the monthly press release, which comes out around the 20th of every month. It's a far-from-complete list of titles leaving the next month. You'll find it on numerous websites if you Google it. We also list those titles here when it comes out.
@Barbara D: That's the thing, Netflix does not actually "publish" this list-- they merely release it to the press. As far as I could find, there is nowhere public that NF releases this info. So it pops up in the form of an article, on one of a few dozen different sites.
So the first site to have that list is always different. Annoying.
And Wellesley72 is correct-- because of user contributions, this blog is both more complete, and often more current, than the press release.
i'm not sure why we're filling this page with off-topic comments, but that netflix doesn't publicize what's leaving its service and uses other prominent web sites for free advertisement of what is coming doesn't surprise me.
Thanks, all, for the responses. I'm familiar with the press release postings on other websites, and agree this blog is the best! I thought I had missed some option on the Netflix site to access a list that they published themselves; silly me.
Fans of horror-comedy, especially in the Sam Raimi kind of style (or fans of heavy metal, I suppose), should definitely check this one out before it goes!
Maybe they'll renew, or bring it back. Which they often do with popular films, and this one's got a bit of a cult following...
All titles above have been added to the master list. Titles in comments below will be added with the next full update.
Renewals Please note: Ten of the titles that were on the 6/29 list have been renewed. I have left those titles up, at the top of this page. The whole 6/29 list is now on the previous post, Expired Titles for May and June.
OMG you're right, I should have checked Wikipedia before posting. Netflix only produced the six-episode fourth season. They have some nerve calling the whole thing an Original.
I wonder if more so called "originals" are going to be taking off. I also wonder those originals that flopped like "The Getdown", "Gypsy" and "Everything sucks" will be taking off one day too. If originals are not safe then nothing is you have to binge watch NF or you will miss whatever little "quality" programing they have left.
It's really just the early stuff. Early on, Netflix was basically acquiring exclusivity rights rather than owning the entire production outright. They got smarter in later years, but that's why the earliest specials and documentaries are leaving the service.
In the case of The Killing, I think the deal was always for Netflix to have the exclusive rights to air the series and have these episodes on its service for a certain period of time. Season 4 is the only one that could be considered a true "Netflix Original" since they likely paid for most of it (but, clearly, not the rights to own that season forever).
7/31 Care Bears: Welcome to Care-a-Lot - 1 Season (2012) Chuggington - 5 Seasons (2015) Death Row Stories - 2 Seasons (2015) The Eighties - 1 Season (2016) El Internado - 7 Seasons (2010) Mushi-Shi - 1 Season (2014) The Seventies - 1 Season (2015) Silver Spoon - 1 Season (2013) Note: There are 2 series with this title. The one that is expiring is the Japanese animated series, not the Russian crime drama series.
7/15 Opening Night (2016) — there are two made-for-TV films with the same title and year that are streaming. The one expiring is 1 hr 36 min, directed by John Henry Robbins. The 1 hr 24 min one, directed by Isaac Rentz, is not expiring.
All titles above this comment have been added to the master list on the new Home Page.

Netflix made an agreement to keep the show on for 'months to come'.
It was also announced on Netflix's official Twitter account. So it's legitimate.
DeletePls I hope y'all don't get rid of Sherlock anytime soon.

It's so strange that Netflix doesn't publish it on their own blog

"The Killing" is billed as an Original, though the first season was on cable, so again it's an "Original" with an asterisk.
