    1. One thing I noted with these Sony Classics movies leaving Netflix throughout 2025 is that none of them can be watched if one just has the basic Netflix streaming package (ad supported). For some reason the licensing agreement between Sony and Netflix does not allow anyone with the basic package to view these movies which is a shame because there were a few I wanted to watch. I thought about upgrading my account for a month but nah.

      Delete
    2. Never liked the basic version. Blocks some of the best movies and shows on Netflix and forces you to endure ads just for a few dollars in savings.

  3. So I just got an email from NF about what's expiring on 3/31. Nothing that wasn't already on the list here. However, I noticed Captain Nova in the email. I like Sci-Fi so I clicked on it. It was already in my que!

What's weird is that when I scroll through "My List" to search for titles expiring soon, it doesn't have the red box that's located in the picture on the bottom center. So I guess NF is also having issues like Amazon. I suggest everyone double check the list here to see if anything else isn't properly marked in their que.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I think we've had some discussion on this in the past. When the image for the show has words at the bottom, that interferes with the red box. For me "Captan Nova"'s title is at the bottom, so no red box. My understanding is that Netflix shows different images to different users, so this may not be the case for everyone. This has been the case for me for many, many shows -- yet another reason why this blog is so important!

    Replies
    1. I’ve had this same experience. The red box is not a failsafe but can be helpful in identifying some expiring titles.

  5. The "Dexter" issue above is frustrating (not getting an official leaving Netflix notice until the day of expiration). I wonder if "Suits" which was reported as likely leaving as "The Wonder Years" on 6/30, but still doesn't have an official expiration notice, will stay on the service or be dumped with little or no official warning. It is especially frustrating when this happens with series with a large number of seasons, as they require a longer viewing commitment, so the more notice the better to have a chance at finishing them. You can't watch "Dexter" or "Suits" in a day!

    1. The ridiculous thing is that Netflix obviously KNOWS these shows are expiring but DOESN'T put a last day notice up.

      Delete
    2. I am now binge-watching Suits just because Netflix has a terrible way of reminding us. 9 seasons in 1 month. Seriously Netflix?

      Delete
  6. Here are a few series with a larger number of seasons that may be leaving in the next few months from Internet sources. These are unconfirmed by Netflix as of yet, but based on the last 6 months, are more likely than not to be leaving.

Kevin Can Fk Himself 2022 (Seasons 1-2)

  13. Hi Everyone,
I apologize for not keeping the blog updated. There's nothing seriously wrong, just that energy is not what it used to be, and has lately been especially low - sigh.
There are more Oct. 31 titles than I can manage. Here is what I'm planning:
Today: Update the "as yet unchecked" list that follows the master list above so that all titles in comments are in date/alpha order.
Going Forward:Starting with November titles, I will do the checks for 5 or more titles every day, and update the list at least twice a week. Pretty sure I will be able to do this, but end of month titles could be a challenge. Last year there were ~170 titles for December 31 - yikes!

Thanks for your patience, everyone. You are very much appreciated.

    1. Don't let one anonymous person make you think that the rest of us aren't very appreciative of all your hard work. We love you, Carol.

    2. Thank you Sarah. I would never think that - you're a peach, as are most of the readers who leave comments.
But I also understand those who expect the blog to deliver on its implied purpose even if their approach is less than peachy
There's life as it should be and life as it is. Striving for the first and managing the second are two of the big keys to happiness. I can tell you're doing just fine. : - )

    3. I completely agree with Sarah. Carol, we greatly appreciate everything you do. We understand this is a personal blog, it is voluntary. It is not like some legal contract, you aren’t required to post every day or have shareholders to appease by the content you create. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort you put into this blog and the community you built. It’s seriously a lot of work and I think we all acknowledge that (even the naysayers, as I don’t see them volunteering to start up their own version of a blog like this nor commit to all the work that it takes to keep it up to date every single day). I totally respect that you may not want to, have the time or energy to, or any other number of reasons to keep it up to date every moment. I know that I wouldn’t be able to nor would want to do that if it was my blog. I just feel bad that anyone would be rude to you, especially since you’ve been so great and have accomplished so much across a number of years. Know that the naysayers do not represent the community you created and cultivated. Thank you for everything!.

    4. Wow - thank you Anonymous. I do love our little community that we all created together. Thanks for acknowledging that aspect of the blog.

    1. I bet this is related to Netflix recently adding a category for movies and series leaving soon:
https://www.whats-on-netflix.com/leaving-soon/netflix-finally-adds-long-awaited-category-for-movies-and-series-leaving-soon/. You can access this entire category directly via https://www.netflix.com/browse/m/genre/82120713, although as per the article in the previous link, there are a few glitches, like The Emoji Movie isn't actually expiring soon...

So perhaps only Part 1 (Episodes 1 through 12) expired. Not sure where to watch Part 1 (unfortunately I didn’t get through all of it before it expired), so I’ll look out for that.
